Molly Mason presided as secretary of the society for the 1954-1955 school year. The second meeting was held at New Albany on February 14. Barbara Smy- ers, Betty Morris, Sherry Hoover, and Larry Doan were taken into the society at this spring meeting. Larry Doan was elected vice president for the 1955- 1956 school year. Several teachers and Mr. Schultz, advisor of the Honor Society, were present at both meetings. At each meeting a fine program was presented, followed by refreshments, and dancing. One of their biggest functions was the Mistletoe Hop. A hundred and fifty people enjoyed this dance held in the gymnasium of the school. We decorated the gym with Christmas greens and lights and hung mistletoe in the center of the dance area. We helped to send a member of our club on the Ohio District Y.W.C.A. trip to the United Nations. The delegate was Patti Blais. When she came back she gave us a report on what she had done and seen in her four days there and how United Nations meetings are conducted. Another of our functions was a Y-Teen Birthday Party. lt was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Y.W.C.A. We contributed a gift of money to the Centennial Fund. The party was enjoyed by all. Just recently our club went to an Inter-Club Council meeting at Pickering- ton with nine members of our organization attending. Looking forward to the rest of this year we have a swimming party planned and also a series of swimming lessons at the Jewish Center. We are going to Columbus for one of our evening meetings to eat out and to attend a fashion show. We plan to have an out-door picnic at the end of the year. We have seven- teen members.
