' ' Flaaykcla Canal Winchester students participate in a number of community service projects annually, Among these are helping needy families, the March of Dimes campaign, the United Appeals, the Lily Parade, and the Christmas Seal .Cam- paign. Perhaps no more important but certainly the project which received the most publicity was the one completed by junior and senior girls, members of typing classes, who addressed 1,500 Christmas Seal letters, stuffed them, and sealed and stamped them for the local Christmas Seal Committee. We are indebted to the COLUMBUS DISPATCH and to the Tuberculosis Society of Columbus and Franklin County for the pictures which depict the girls at work at various phases of the project. The picture captions are the same ones that were used in connection with the feature story which was printed in an issue of the DISPATCI-I. M. 3' ON THE PRODUCTION LINE--Production line tech- nique is employed in sorting and stuffing the Christmas seal envelopes, Mary Morrison, Catherian West, Pat Stot1er,Janet Howard, Anita Gaston, Janet Fridley, and Lois Magee. Standing are Mary Bayer and Molly Ma- son. SEALING ENVELOPES--Sealing the Christmas Seal en- velopes is accomplished by both sponge and tongue methods. Giving the envelopes a lick are Dorothy Smith, Zelithia Windsor, Sherry Hoover, Lois Carpen- ter, Sheila Thornton, Bea Haynes, and Theo Coleman. TYPING ADDRESSES--Ruth Fielder types an address on FOLDING CHRISTMAS SEALS--Folding 45,000 Christ- one of the 1,500 Christmas Seal letters for the Canal mas seals is a tedious job but these students seem to Winchester area.
