As we entered Canal Winchester High School for our Sopho- more year, the members of the class elected their class offi- cers as follows: President, Judy Shumakerg Vice President, Bill Mcllwaing Secretary, Donna Masong Treasurer, Barbara Schultzg Parliamentarian, Harley Swoyerg and Student Council members, John Cathers and Dick Loucks. We thoroughly enjoyed our first class activity which was a hayride and wiener roast at Griffith's woods. The largest money-making project that our class has under- taken since we entered high school was the Spaghetti Supper that we had in December. The supper increased our class treasury as well as our knowledge of making money. During the latter part of the school year the class members sold School Daze books. The class chose Donna Sue Chaney to represent them in the Football Homecoming Court and Barbara Schultz in the Basket- ball Court. Their escorts were Dick Loucks and Bob Wynkoop respectively. Throughout the year the class members have gained more knowledge and made new friends. Everyone in the class wishes to thank the members of the faculty for their patience and understanding. The Freshmen class of 1954-1955 began the year by elect- ing class officers as follows: President, Allen Millerg Vice President, Virginia Carrg Secretary, Judy Fogleg Treasurer, Dorothy Longg Sergeant at Arms, Billy Schultzg Student Council, Donna Freeman and Darrell Pierce. Our first vague recollection of the year was the conduction into High School. This was carried on under the supervision of the lordly Seniors. That one uncomfortable day shall not b'e forgotten for some time. ' Our next memorable occasion was ahayride to Adel Smith's home where a wiener roast followed the journey. A photograph- er was included in the guests much to the dismay of the occu- pants of one of the trucks. Mud puddles and disappearing people were other high lights of the evening. A slight rain on the way home even failed to dampen our spirits. The third social event of the year was a skating party held on the 7th of March at the Rollarena. If you will pardon the pun it was declareda rolling success. Our final undertaking of the year was a rag drive to obtain funds for a future trip to Washington. We were ably advised through out the year by Mr. Johnson. The freshman class of '54-'55 extends their sincerestthanks to him for his fine assistance.
