Our junior year started with a money-making project, a Wheel of Fortune, at the Street Fair in July. The money made was added to the treasury with the ultimate goal of the Junior-Senior Banquet in mind. We sold candy every day at noon during the first se- mester. We also had the concession stand at the football games where we sold hot dogs, coke, hot chocolate, and can- dy. The second week of school we ordered our class rings from the Josten Company and anxiously awaited the day when we could wear them. The rings arrived just before Christ- mas. During Christmas vacation our class took on the project of sanding and repainting the desks in one of the grade school rooms. In February, we sponsored a skating party which was held at the Lancaster Arena and a swimming party which was held at the Y.M.C.A. in Columbus. Now we are making plans for the Junior-Senior Banquet which will be held at llonka's Provincial House on April 23. We are in the midst of selecting a class play which will be given in May. This year the class officers have been: Larry Doan, Presidentg Lois Carpenter, Vice President, Evelyn Wilder- muth, Secretary, Betty Morris, Treasurer, Rodger Marion, Sherry Hoover, and Joe Barnhart, Student Council Repre- sentativesg and Beverly Montague, Tax Stamp Chairman. Our football and basketball attendants were Lois Car- penter and Betty Morris respectively. Their escorts were Howard Solt and John Sanders. We would like to give our deepest vote of appreciation to Mrs. Hatlestad and to Mr. Roshon who have done a wonder- ful job as our advisors this year.
