One of the first official acts of the Student Council was to supervise the election of the homecoming queen who reigned at the Hamilton Township-Canal Winchester football game on November 5. The same procedure was followed when the basketball season came around. In addition to assisting with the many school-boosting activities, the Student Coun- cil furnished records for noon recreation, sponsored an assembly program for the high school, and planned for the last day of school an all-high picnic at the Zoo. A special function of the local Student Council is the auditing of the books of all school funds in December and May of each school year. All bills and school accounts must be approved by the Council and signed by the secretry.
