BARTLETT ARKELL In Memoriam The Senior Class of 1947 wished to dedicate this issue of the Black and Gold, to the late Bartlett Arkell, nationally prominent industrialist, and phil anthropist. Mr. Arkell was one of the founders of the Beech-Nut Packing Company and generously contributed to the development of the educational and cultur- al attributes of the village of Canajoharie. The people of Canajoharie have lost a good kindly neighbor and a patron of their civic interests. His memory will always be a.n inspiration to those who knew him well. 3

t DEDICHTIUH REVEREND FATHER IAMES GAZELEY The Senior Class of 1947 wishes to dedicate this issue of the Black a.nd Gold to the Reverend Father Iames Gazeley, who recently moved to Schuylerville af- ter having been Pastor of St. Peter's and Paul's Church for the past thirteen years. Father Gazeley has left behind him a vast multitude of friends and admirers, to whom he has given spiritual guidance and help. His work, his inspiration, his faith, and advice will long be remembered a.nd felt by the entire community. 2
