CLASS DIARY Dear Diary, SCP? ,LH Freshmen at last! Loaded down with books, pencils and pens, we bravely face the four years to come. Our first year consists mainly of getting accquainted with our classmates and adjusting our- selves to the many and varied school activities. Dear Diary, Sept- '42 The opening of our Sophomore year found us greatly reduced in number but not in spirit. We tried our skill at putting on a few dances, a bake sale and one successful hayride. VVith our minds Hlled with pleasant memories of our Sophomore year, We anxiously await our third year at Canajo- harie High School. Dear Diary, Sept- ,43 Upperclassmen ll Our social activities were given a successful incentive with an Armistice Day dance. Needless to say, the highlight of the year was receiving our class ringsg although some of them were conspicuously exchanged in a very short time . . . Then along came April and the majority of us donned our best bib and tucker to enjoy the music of UButch Robertshawls orchestra, playing at the annual junior Prom. Ah well - another year is gone and with those troublesome Regents behind us for awhile, wc plan ahead for our last year of High School. Dear Diary, Sept- 44 Our IT1OSt important year now looms before us, as We return to C. C. S. as f'The,' Seniors! A new dance committee was formed to plan our dances throughout the year. lVIany dances were held during the basketball season, the most successful being held after the Fort Plain game, en- joyed by both the victorious and the vanquished. A majority of the students were given an opportunity to show their talent in the Senior Play Growing Painsl' the success of which was so great that the public demanded a repeat performance. - On January eighth, we, the members of the Senior Class, tried our luck at making cookies, cakes, and candy, the result of which was a very successful bake sale. 'fTempus Fugit and it certainly did for before we knew it, Commencement week was here. After dragging ourselves through the Regents, we breathed a sigh of relief and enjoyed ourselves at Class Night and The Senior Ball. At last, that long-awaited night was here - GRADUATION! XVith the education and guidance we have received from our school and teachers, we were pre- pared to take our part in society and carve our own niches in the Hall of Fame. 8
