BERT LOBE Osier, Sask. Upon arrival at Canadian Mennonite Bible College we responded to many novel situations. An experience in the dormitory, a university ' approach in class, or a new interpretation of a biblical passage evoked meditation or discussion with students and instructors. I remember especially one lecture in Old Testament which emphasized God ' s covenant with Israel. This covenant was symbolized by the Ten Commandments. The keeping of the law was to be a sign of loyalty, not merely a means of eliciting God ' s favour. I then thought of my own relationship to God.
