GEORGIA LEE MORRIS ISAACS Box 785 Canadian TX 79014 C806 323 60641 After graduating from CHS lH 1941 I attended North Texas State at Denton for one year Came back to Canadian and worked at the Canadian Lumber Company as bookkeeper This was a good job and decided to stay on for another year and then go back to college ThlS didn t happen for I went to work at the First National Bank loved this job and stayed there until 1945 Quentin Isaacs and I were married that same year We had two sons David and B111 In 1959 we moved into our present home built on the ranch west of Canadian Now we have four grandchildren two boys and two girls Both sons and their families 1 ve 1D or near Canadian We are very pleased they came back to their hometown Ours lS a close family and we think l1fe here on the ranch lS so rewarding that we could w1sh for no better place to live and F3136 the grandchildren WAYNE BAKER 915 CODkllD Canadian TX 79014 1806 323 65195 After graduating CHS 1n 1941 I spent three years in the Army A1r Corps mostly in England during WW II I returned to Canadian and married Maxine Bryan CHS Class of 43 in July 1945 Was discharged from A1r Corp November 1945 we have one daughter Carolyn Sims living in Canyon with husband David and three of the most precious grandkids God ever gave Panhandle of Texas for 31. years ret1r1ng JI1 1976 D1d surveying and engineering around Canadian for four years retired again Worked. as General Manager for Love Company Wholesale Dr11l1ng Fluids for six years retired. again Now II play golf teach an adult Bible 131ass at First Christian Church teach Defensive Driving Course to the Public QlVe deVOtlODS and teach B1b1e Classes and history lessons to the res1dents of Abraham Memorial Home I serve on the Board of Directors of Cookson H1115 Christian Ministries which operates a Children s Home near Canadian well as in Kansas Missouri Oklahoma Florida and Haiti I m Secretary Treasurer for the Panhandle Evangelist Association an organization which starts Christian Churches in Oklahoma and Texas I serve on the Board of D1rectors of Canadian Golf Cldb We enyov good health good l1v1ng and traveling hav ng been to Europe tv c the Br1t1sh Isles twice Alaska Nova Scotia Hawai Aust alia and New Zealand But mostly I play golf Q ' . BUCK WORLEY 1100 Mary Ellen Pampa TX 79065 C806 665 89791 I left Canadian soon after graduation and went to Dallas to Luscombe School of Aeronautics to learn something about building airplanes After that short time I went to work for Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation in San Diego helping to build the B 24 bomber I left California in early 1943 to enter the Army Air Corp under the Aviation Cadet Program I graduated in early 1945 and finished the War as a Fixed Gunnery Instructor and remained in the Air Force Reserve until 1971 when I retired I returned to Canadian after being discharged from active duty in 1945 and worked for Sisco ElSCtflC installing REA service until they finished the Canadian part of their contract They left and I stayed going to work for White House Lunber Company in 1946 Along about this time Chleo and I were married and that resulted in one son Chuck He and his family live in Dayton Ohio I worked for White House until 1957 at which time I resigned and went into the Public Accounting business until 1959when I returned to work for White House Lumber This time I 1asted until 1970 when I resigned again to go into the glass business In 1975 I Lumber Company which I did while still maintaining my interest in the glass company I continued to purchase parts of my partners interest until 1989 when I acquired the last remaining interest I guess I will have to remain with the firm now MARGARET NIX SANDERS Rt 2 Box Canadian TX 79014 C806 323 60855 I married Homer Sanders October 13 1941 and four days later he was drafted into the Army While he served. over two years I remained in Canadian awaiting his return We moved to Gem Community to farm and ranch in 1943 and still live in the grand community we byuilt our home here in September 1952 We raised two children both are CHS graduates Janiz Lunsford Smith of Granbury Texas and Debie McCravens of Canadian There are two grandchildren Jamie Lunsford and Tyrel McCravens I am a long time member of Tri C Home Demonstration Club joining in 1946 and received two plaques for Woman of The Year of Hemphill County Home Demonstration Clubs in 1977 and 1978 We attend Gem Baptist Church I served as teacher, Treasurer, song leader, and I am Church Clerk Homer is a Deacon Homer retired in 1990 We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary October 13, 1991 in Granbury My health went bad in 1989 I had a stroke in May and cancer surgery in September 1989 I had Chemotherapy for 8 months at Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo I have had a good life, good friends, loving family, and a great husband God has richly blessed me these 67 years of life. Cwargaret wrote this in December, 1991, and died January 7, 19929 was offered the opportunity to purchase a part interest in White House 18
