BUCK WORLEY 1100 Mary Ellen Pampa TX 79065 C806 665 89791 I left Canadian soon after graduation and went to Dallas to Luscombe School of Aeronautics to learn something about building airplanes After that short time I went to work for Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation in San Diego helping to build the B 24 bomber I left California in early 1943 to enter the Army Air Corp under the Aviation Cadet Program I graduated in early 1945 and finished the War as a Fixed Gunnery Instructor and remained in the Air Force Reserve until 1971 when I retired I returned to Canadian after being discharged from active duty in 1945 and worked for Sisco ElSCtflC installing REA service until they finished the Canadian part of their contract They left and I stayed going to work for White House Lunber Company in 1946 Along about this time Chleo and I were married and that resulted in one son Chuck He and his family live in Dayton Ohio I worked for White House until 1957 at which time I resigned and went into the Public Accounting business until 1959when I returned to work for White House Lumber This time I 1asted until 1970 when I resigned again to go into the glass business In 1975 I Lumber Company which I did while still maintaining my interest in the glass company I continued to purchase parts of my partners interest until 1989 when I acquired the last remaining interest I guess I will have to remain with the firm now MARGARET NIX SANDERS Rt 2 Box Canadian TX 79014 C806 323 60855 I married Homer Sanders October 13 1941 and four days later he was drafted into the Army While he served. over two years I remained in Canadian awaiting his return We moved to Gem Community to farm and ranch in 1943 and still live in the grand community we byuilt our home here in September 1952 We raised two children both are CHS graduates Janiz Lunsford Smith of Granbury Texas and Debie McCravens of Canadian There are two grandchildren Jamie Lunsford and Tyrel McCravens I am a long time member of Tri C Home Demonstration Club joining in 1946 and received two plaques for Woman of The Year of Hemphill County Home Demonstration Clubs in 1977 and 1978 We attend Gem Baptist Church I served as teacher, Treasurer, song leader, and I am Church Clerk Homer is a Deacon Homer retired in 1990 We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary October 13, 1991 in Granbury My health went bad in 1989 I had a stroke in May and cancer surgery in September 1989 I had Chemotherapy for 8 months at Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo I have had a good life, good friends, loving family, and a great husband God has richly blessed me these 67 years of life. Cwargaret wrote this in December, 1991, and died January 7, 19929 was offered the opportunity to purchase a part interest in White House 18

R L ROBERTS 713 S Houston Shamrock TX 79079 1806 256 36631 n the Fall of 41 I e Texas College attended two years dropplng out because I had been classlfled 4 F' on my army lnductlon because of my hearlng problem Many years later I completed my educatlon graduatlng from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banklng at SMU Incldentally 1D 1961 62 63 I had a serles of ear operatlons that restored my healng one of the great moments 1D my llfe to be able to hear the blrds crlckets etc I w1ll ever be grateful to God for thls feat In 1944 I went to work at a bank lH Shamrock Texas as a bookkeeper teller contlnulng there purchased the controlllng lnterest lH the bank 1D 1967 and became presldent I later turned the presldency over to another and took on the Chalrman of the Board actlvltles as well as chelf executlve offlcer In 1983 I sold the bank and retlred bought a farm to glve me somethlng to do and have enjoyed that llfe slnce I only help out on the farm as a frlend oversees the management I marrled a Shamrock glrl 1D 1947 We had four years together before she dled of a heart attack there were no chlldren Later I marrled Mary Phllllps a local school teacher and we have had 39 years of happlness Our one daughter Becky 37 and her husband llve here There no grandchlldren but a dozen dogs In 1973 I met Jesus Chrlst ln a tremendous experlence and have been a llcensed mlnlster for the past several years no a pastor but a teachlng mlnlstry At one point 1D my llfe I gave polltlcsa thought but after two terms as mayor that was enough Llfe lS full I m maturlng graciously and ln good health Hobbles farm antlque shopplng Blble Study GEORGE EARL TUBB Box 295 Canadlan TX 79014 C806 323 68141 After graduatlng from CHS I enrolled ln Texas A SM I Jo1ned the army whlle at college and was sent to Camp Roberts Callfornla for lnfantry baslc tralnlng I attended offlcer canldate school at Ft Bennlng Georgla and was commlssloned After jolnlng the 42nd Infantry Dlvlslon at Camp Gruber Oklahoma we were sent to France I served for four years over two ln France Germany and Austrla After the war returned to A QM and graduated I returned to Canadlan and began ranchlng In 1951 I marrled a Canadlan glrl Paullne Polly Shepherd CHS Class of 45 We have two sons G Davld Tubb and Gary E Tubb who have blessed us wlth slx grandchildren Because of all the shooting that was done whlle servlng ln the army my hobby turned out to be competltlve rlfle shootlng whlch rubbed off on the entlre fammlv Thls resulted ln my belng lnvolved ln the Natlonal Rlfle Assoclatlon I served as Presldent of the Texas State Rlfle ASSOClatlOD and for ten years on the NRA Board of Dlrectors I stlll enjoy my hobby and won the Natlonal Hlghpower Rlfle Senlor Champlonshlp 1D 1991 I am stlll envolved lD farmlng and ranchlng . . e . 1 U 1 .
