Class History On Septemlrer IO, 1928, a group of very green boys and girls regis- tered, were issued books and became members of Canadian High School. Qur pride on this occasion far surpassed that which we felt the previous year when we first became inhabitants of the High School Building as memlwrs of the Seventh Grade. ln a few days the boys became full-fledged members of C. H. S. via humping, whippings, and the ubelt-line administration, adminfs- taied skillfully ind jox fully bw the upper classmcn We elcctmd Xlfred Myatt president and with Mi Lela Vkfilliarnson ls sponsor we began our high school c ireer Our team mide a good showing in the basketball class tournament and also pl ned eweral unior teams of neighboring, towns Our Sophomore year proved much more successful W again elected Alfred Myatt president and Miss Faye Sumner sponsor Our class was well represented in football basketball ba eball track and tennis And we were also well represented in band glee club dcclamation one act plays and the annual staff We lope that we as a class mav continue to take as actne a part in school activities during our remaining tuo wears of high school as we hate in our Sophomore year J ' 4 ' ' - ' . - 2 ' if 5 ' ss . 5 if 5 J , ' K 3 a . a ' ' , . 2 . Fresh men In the year of our Lord, nineteen twenty-nine, Some little greenhorns paraded proudly in line, You ask who? why, the Freshmen of Canadian High Witli smiles on their faces and never a sigh. 'lihey paraded in lines and soon were enrolled. And still they were gay, verdant, and hold. Latin, History, English, and Math, 'lihey were started knowingly on E.ducation's path. But alas, they were soon to he reminded, Lwen though their little ey es now were blinded lhat Freshmen must not command the school lhat they too are forced to obey the rule Upper classmen with helts in their hands Gave a gentle reminder to the Freshmen band Need I tell more3 Ah yes from all reports lhe Freshmen proved the laest of sports And now cur little Fi h had plunged in the pool For nom they were a hom fide part of the school They olaeyed exery rule and shed fem tears And soon they were known as the dearest of dears fheir candidate ran 1 wery good race An made all the others grasp for their place An all through the year they played and worked And exeryone admits no duty they shirked And now at the end of this glorious year rl he Freshmen are in the hest of good cheer For they have weathered the jolts and hlows And haxe arrned triumphant to the clo e Laura E Hopkins Y i 1 . , . , Y ,v . - . . , , ., 'A 'S , . . , .
