PARALLEL BAR ROUTINE - The strength used in order to execute a good and almost perfect routine is demonstrated by sophomore gymnast Greg Kaul. Under the supervision of Mr. Richard Riggs, the Campus High Gymnastic Team broke the previous school record in scoring the most team points since the sport of gymnastics has been at CHS. Coach Riggs commented that, although the Colts will be losing many of the valuable seniors from the team, the freshmen and sophomores that will be on the team next year, will be an excellent group of gym- nasts for competition. The team itself did pretty good but in the individual competition their real talent came through. This in- cludes the outstanding performances by senior team captain, Steve Burba and sophomore, Duane Nelson, for placing 3rd and Sth place in the Regional Gymnas- tics Meet, which made them eligible for competition in the State Meet.

Gymnasts Strive for Chance in Competition GYMNASTICS TEAM - Front Row - Mary Wolf, Tina Teschke, Verna Boyd, jenny Casmaer, Leslie Boyd, Dixie Feast, julie Misak. Back Row - Bonnie Madzey janet jacobs, Debbie Yount, Kim Craig, Dianne George, Lou Ann Hudgins, Debbie Fox. 4,-i GYMNASTICS MEET - Team communication is a valuable factor in the sport of gymnastics. You must be able to accept criticism, learn to have the courage to try and attempt new movements and you must always have honor and faith in your team and in the sport itself. Rules taken from a book of girls gymnastics made easy. This year's girls gymnastics team looked good through the first few meets in the season, as the team was led by a few underclassmen and two seniors. Led by seniors, Bonnie Madzey and Tina Teschke, along with sophomores jenny Casmaer, Leslie Boyd and Lou Anne Hudgins, individually put together good routines to earn the honor of placing in the actual meets. After the winning streak at the beginnning of the year the team started to go downhill. As the team went to the Regional Gymnastics Meet, nine of the girls placed high enough to compete in the State meet. Which would have been the first state meet that Campus High would have been eligible for. GYMNASTIC COMPETITION - Sophomore jenny Casmaer seems to be having a calm and confident feeling as she performs her balance beam routine with ease, as sophomore Lou Anne Hudgins watches with amazement. GYMNASTICS COACH - Starting her 3rd year as coach and physical education teacher, Mrs. Chelsea McCreery keeps the faith in this year's team of gymnasts.
