A L:TL.,,. . :,L,z..W Mark Payne escorting Debbie lo Smith. john Dickson escorting Becky Stovall. gm ....J..s, .s B King, Queen of Courts Given Honors Three Senior girls selected by the Varsity Basketball Team and three Senior boys selected by the Pep Club waited to see the stu- dents' choice of King and Queen of Courts. The three girls nomi- nated were Bambi Carlson, Deb- bie lo Smith and Becky Stovall. The three boys nominated were Steve Portz, Mark Payne and john Dickson. The crowning of Queen Bambi and King Steve took place before the Varsity game. Along with the excitement, tensions and tears, spectators watched an encounter game between the Campus Colts and the EIDorado Wildcats, with the final victory making the eve- ning more successful. The dance took place in the cafeteria following the Varsity game where many of the students could dance to the music of Sol- dier , a new local rock band. We may never pass this way again, was the theme for the 1974 Queen of Courts Dance. True, we may never pass this way again, but we shall not forget the way we came. 67 0-r

Prom Honors Linda, Gary On April 20, at the Hidden Lakes Country Club, the seniors participated in their last big event before graduation. The juniors gave the traditional Prom to the Seniors. The theme that the juniors chose was Time in a Bottle , with many elaborate decorations. The mood was set for a memorable evening of fun and excitement. Each year a King and Queen is nominated for Prom and a junior Attendant. The nomina- tion for King and Queen were Gary McCutcheon, john Dickson, jim Poynter, Linda Scott, Linda Wilson, and janet jacobs. For junior Attendant the following students were nominat- ed Sharon Stevens, Pam Reece, Berry Hughes, and Richard Renner. The final decision was made by the couples who attended the Prom. After all votes were added, Gary McCutcheon and Linda Scott were chosen Prom King and Queen. For junior Attendant Sharon Stevens and Berry Hughes were elected.
