,,....-4'-ja PRINCIPAL - Don Layton is one of the most important men at Campus High School. Hisjob curtails everything from student discipline to managing school business. VICE PRINCIPAL - Carlton Allen assists Mr. Layton in the task of dealing with students at Campus High School. Administrative Duties Vary The men that head the Campus High School Administrative Staff have duties so varied that few stu- dents or faculty members are ever completely aware of their job. Many of the students and faculty take for granted the smooth func- tioning of the many activities, only becoming concerned if a problem arises. Dr. W. H. Phillips, Superintend- ent of Unified School District 3261 has the job of looking over the Haysville School Systems in- cluding Campus. His assistant is Mr. Virgil Combs. The School Board of Campus High School help set down the codes for stu- dents to obey. Mr. Don Layton, Principal at Campus, is involved with the dis- cipline of many students and the concerns teachers have for them. Mr. Carlton Allen and Mr. Orville Canaan assist Mr. Layton in his task. As the year came to a close the Administrative Staff said goodbye to the Seniors and prepared for a new crop of Freshmen. Office And Clerical Staff Aid Teachers And Students The Secretaries of Campus High find that working here is quite enjoyable. They have found self-confi- dence and pride in their job. Their work ranges from typing letters to helping a teacher or student in need. The Office and Clerical Staff is always here even when there is no school, because there is always work that needs to be done. Their ability to do their job well has caused them to be hired every year. .31 ws if SECRETARY TO PRINCIPAL - Mrs. Mildred Tannahill serves as personal secretary for Principal Don Layton. Her job also includes handling teachers mail, securing substitutes, and other adminis- trative chores. ATTENDANCE AND ASSISTANT SECRETARY TO PRINCIPAL - Mrs. luanita Farney trains girls to run office machines and is a per- sonal secretary to Assistant Principal Carlton Allen. GENERAL OFFICE AND SECRETARY TO ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - Mrs. Phebe just keeps records on absences and helps Assistant Principal Orville Canaan. 148 O--1' REGISTRAR AND COUNSELOR SECRETARY - Mrs. Hazel White- house has the job of filing student records and other counseling duties. ,V ,Q ,Wil , r .4 Eg- 4 Nm. She joined the staff during second semester as her position was vacated by Mr. Geneva Wallis who served as cashier first semester, HEALTH NURSE - Mrs. Roberta Bentley has duties such as treating the hurt and keeping records for students. 4 'nt V W ' 6 . .,,. . I , ., 4 W ff ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN - Mrs. Ruth Wiseman works closely with the files in the library and helps students find materials.
