Homecoming -'nm 11-15 high. f.,:lk X xlg, It irfkx in-l TENSION BUILDS - As the 1973-74 traditional Homecoming nears the end, a feeling of unknown anticipation surrounds the audience and candidates while wondering who will have the honor of sitting in the Queen's throne. ' Despite the loss to the El- dorado Wildcats with a score of 27 to 6 enthusiasm continued to prevail. Dedication ceremonies pre- ceeded the first game played at the new stadium, thus making it possible for the Campus Colts to remember another first for the 1973-74 seniors. Senior King candidates were Pat Teschke, Larry lantzen, David Word, Mike Ybarra, lim Poynter, and Steve Darr. Queen candidates were se- niors, Tina Teschke, Linda Scott, Debra lo Smith, Bambi Carlson, Kathy Markham, and Becky Stovall. Mike Ybarra and Tina Teschke won the annual royalty honors of football King and Queen. Halftime events included a per- formance by the Campus march- ing band, colorguard, and pom- pons. Homecoming events conclud- ed with an after-game dance in the Campus cafeteria, dancing to the sound of Village. ROYALTY CANDIDATES - Pat Teschke and Bambi Carlson and their driver Mike Dunn a the big decision.

Many students wondered why the Colt Stadium was built in Haysville rather than Campus. Fact has it that the majority of Campus students live in Haysville, therefore it was agreed that more people would become involved in Campus sports if the stadium was built there. Community involvement in the athletic program has been higher this year than any other. The more people that become actively in- volved in a program, the better program it will be. Many people have been aware of this need for a long time and this was the particular year that USDif 261 decided it was financial- ly possible. where to sit seems to be the biggest question at the time. STADIUM FACILITIES - For the first time students have a chance to examine the new stadium and see if it is all they had expected. Deciding 139 O-'1'
