Back Row - Nina Williams, Lynn Kill, Sharon Waymire, Susan Page, Sandy Carrell, Paula Vaught. OEA Studies Office Methods The Office Education Asso- ciation Club is part of the co- operative program. The stu- dent is required to be an active member of this club in order to participate at local, state, and national levels of the program. Through this club students learn about parlimentary pro- cedure, service projects, and plan for the state and national Leadership Conference. Projects and activities of the OEA Club for the 1973-74 school year consisted of, at- tending the Fall Delegate As- sembly, attending the Spring Leadership Conference, at- tending the National Leader- ship Conference, attending local club meeting, and enter- ing a Service Awards Contest. Officers of the club were, Kathy Hoggard, president, Ian Trout, vice president, while Mr. Russell Reeves was the 1973-74 OEA sponsor. jr. OE Plans for Senior OE Ir. Office Education was de- signed with preparing the stu- dents for Senior OEA. Projects for the year includ- ed having a guest speaker, compiling personal data sheets, and application blanks. Student members also were required to hold interviews with various personal rangers. Officers for Ir. OEA for the 1973-74 school year included, Cindy Kerr, president, Vicki Hourley, vice president, Kim Clark, reporter, Peggy Walker, secretary and treasurer. Key Clu b Serves Area Serving the school and community, developing ini- tiative and leadership, en- couraging daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships, were the main goals for the 1973-74 Key Club. Key Club sponsored a tal- ent show for all the Haysville students, and also participat- ed in community services such as helping out at nurs- ing homes. Officers for the 'I973-74 school year were, Wendell C-oin, president, Rick Steele, vice president, Keith Bird- sell, secretary, and Mr. john Stucky was the sponsor. IRC Studies Foreign Law International Relations Club was designed to teach students about different countnies, such as China, Russia, and Africa. Programs were set up to let the members of the club have a better insight as to what beliefs, customs, and laws a country might have. Each month the club spon- sors, Mr. Leroy Griswold and Mr. joseph Murtha, tried to change the country in which the students were to study. Sr. DECA Gets Involved Primary objectives of the Distrib- utive Education Club of America include, developing leadership potential, involving student mem- bers in social and recreational activ- ities, developing civic awareness through community involvement, and providing vocational under- standing about opportunities for employment in the field of marketing. DECA is the national youth or- ganization for students enrolled in Distributive Education Programs in high school, junior colleges, area vocational schools, and four year colleges and universities. Activities for the 1973-74 school year included, selling Hershey's fund raising chocolate merchan- dise, holding various concession stands during the twenty minute break, attending the Fall Delegate Assembly, sponsoring a dance after a varsity game, and sponsoring a concert. Officers for DECA were, Craig Cremer, president, Nina McKee, vice president, Sherri Lewis, secre- tary, Sue Munkres, treasurer, Bruce Lang, parliamentarian. Mr. Ted Eberle was the sponsor. Special recognition was received by Craig Cremer and Nina McKee as they won the title of DECA state president, and central region vice president. Elections for these ho- nored offices were held at the Fall Delegate Assembly in Emporia, on October 19 and 20. lr. DECA Seeks Future junior Distributive Education was designed to prepare underclassmen for Senior Distributive Education when they will have various oppor- tunities to compete in the market- ing field, and represent Campus as the 1973-74 senior DECA has.
