Lettermen, Top Athletes The Lettermen Club's project for the 1973-74 school year included two booths at the Haysville junior High School Booster Club Carnival, putting up signs in the coke room, and placing trash cans at different locations around the school. Letter- men Club members took an over- night trip in the spring for the Let- termen's invitation. There were 40 members in the club including offi- cers Mike Ybarra, president, Pat Teschke, vice president, Doug Gar- ton, secretary, and Gary Nichols, sergeant at arms. Mr. Don Harmi- son was sponsor for the club. Kayettes Aid Needy Kayettes club was designed to help each member reach six objec- tives. These objectives are, religion, personality, leadership, service, appreciation, and responsibility. No formal religion is taught in such a group, but each member is urged to attend the church of her choice. During the month of November Kayette members had a swim party and an overnighter. The club also performed services for the school and needy organizations. One such project was, visiting the St. joseph Hospital on December 15, to talk to sick children. The girls also sold spook insurance before Halloween. Officers for the club were, Paula Barker, president, janet jacobs, vice president, Dawn Warrington, sec- retary, and Pam Ward, treasurer.
