Freshman End Season, Give Coach Plaque FRESHMAN TRACK - Front Row - Richard Wiseman, lim Beard, Eddie Kercher, Donnie Randall, Sam Kon- kel and Roger Emberson. Second Row - Wess Brickley, Steve Steele, Shawn Sullivan, Tim lust, Tim Maho- ney and Steve Scott. Third Row - Scott Chilcote, Dale Baker, Keven Lewis and jeff West. Led by Freshman Long Distance runners Eddie Kercher and Tim Mahoney, the Freshman team com- bined their efforts, with the seventh and eighth grade junior High Track team and won the Sweepstakes trophy at the Suburban League meet. Although the team was small in number, it was well represented with many individuals. Two of the runners that did show their talents were 880 yard champion Eddie Kercher and Tim Mahoney runner up in the two mile run. One of the highlights of the Freshman track season was when the squad recog- nized their Coach Roger Emberson by giving him a plague. Second Row - Elbert Thomas, Brian Burnside, Allan King, Paul Comegys and Tom Eastman. Top Row - Victor Noordhook, Kenny Strait, Doug Adams, Wayne Trimmell and Rod Victors. The 1974 track team had many various changes as several School Records were broken. Records were broke in both the Medley and Two Mile Relays. Also there were two rec- ords broke in the jumping events, the High jump and Triple lump. Other records broke were the One and Two Mile Runs. One mile Steeplechase and the 180 yard Low Hurdles. The upperclass men led the squad to one of the most vic- torious seasons for Campus track. As the Colts were victo- rious at their own Campus Invitational and brought home a second place trophy at the Wellington Relays. And also by placing third in the tough Ark Valley League meet.
