Editor's Note Last year was a beginning, this year was filled with repetitious ideas, and lots of hard work. The 1986 Maple Trail seemed to elude me all year long. There was still chaos and confusion. I figured that I was one year older and one year wiser and I hoped for the yearbook to come together beautifully. Wrong! The deadlines still haunted me. I never seemed to have the time to take the picture or write the copy. But, finally the time came and the Maple Trail came together. It seems as though freshman week had just ended and homecoming was history when graduation rolled around. I feel like all these pages are for the senior class. The theme of the Maple Trail is Now For Something Better. It is for the graduates time for something better. I hope I have captured a part of their personality in these pages. The Theme seemed to depict the freshman class as they were beginning to strive for something bet- ter. They had begun their four year search of knowledge and good times. I will flatter myself, and hope that everyone will find something that they can relate to or find pleasure in. It is a thrill to me when I know that a picture allowed someone to remember a great moment or some Ny... E:......f+ -K ' fn i?'v :ff-'cn copy reminded them of many forgotten details. I guess that was my goal when I started this project. Well, I have used up enough space and I haven't thanked anyone. I would like to thank Public Rela- tions and Joan McKinney for all of her help. Thanks to the newspaper staff, Cynthia Williams for her pic- tures, the Maple Trail Staff, Dr. Doty, and everyone who helped me along the way.
