It's true there isn't a concert every Saturday hut most enterprising students find ways to entertain themselves. Ball games, shopping, bowling, and Praise Gatherings may be included in the weekender's schedule. But if all else fails, he can always study! 5 , 1 r v WEEKDAYS . . . Commuters are to be commended for attending more classes than residents of the campus. 49 TU STUDY UR NUT TO STUDY The Eternal Question ,f-1 ,., . F . Maybe I'll go to the Old Gym and recline on the steps. But what about my lesson plan? I think I need to go to the Pizza Villa before I go to bed! Yeah, and then I'll do my speech and my Old Testament before- my 8:00 class in the morning. Oops . . . it's 9:00-guess I missed class. 51 E A T III N G 1 1 xi f ,gi .4 3, - 331' E5 V I .I 17,15 . The schedule included such small college powers as Pikeville, Bellarmine, and Transylvania, and nearly all of the other teams were rough, bruising, and physical fespecially Cumberland: right Duane?j The second handicap featured a coaching change at midseason which had a ma- jor impact on the team. While Mr. Coleman and Mr. Rohrer are both proven coaches, their styles are quite different. Mr. Coleman prefers a disciplined, me- thodical and patterned offense and makes use of various types of zones on defense. Mr. Rohrer does not emphasize patterns, as he prefers a fastbreaking freelance type offense and a scrapping man-to-man defense. Such a major change in mid-year has the same effect on a basketball team that shifting from second to third gear without using the clutch would have on a car. Both coach and team are now well acquainted with each other, and this com- position may lead to a K.I.A.C. Championship in the 1977-1978 season. Players left to right: Barry Caudill, Charley Duncan, Wallace Bridges, Mike Ien- kins, David Baird, Clifford Todd, Duane Dunagan, Dennis Retzlaff, Ron Cartwright, Leslie McDonald, Don Iones, Tim Davis, Vernon Miniard, Wyan Dunn, Roy Walker.
