X gif 'Q HGIVIECOIVIING 1972 Homecoming '72 sporting a Children's Stories theme, began with the chores of float building and ended with a 98-91 victory over visiting Lee College from Tennessee. Among Homecoming weekend's major activities were an after-game night of fun and frolic, providing you weren't too tired to participate. The girls had no hours and the S. G. A. had planned a full weekend of ex- citement. The community Bowling Alley was rented for the College, a movie in the Chapel, swimming in the pool, and always those private parties of your own mak- ing, helped create a Homecoming that won't be forgotten on this campus for years to come. Elinor Clark, a sophomore from Monterey, Ky. , was elected Homecoming Queen from among 17 girls. She was crowned in the half-time ceremonies before a capacity crowd. ,52- STUDENT LIFE 25

The S. O.A. is divided into three branches: the eX- ecutive, the legislative, and judicial. These sepa- rate branches regulate affairs which are of common interest to the students. It is subject however, to final approval of the College Administrative Council The Senate is the legislative branch of the govern- mental hierarchy. It is by this body made up of pro perly elected students under professor advisorship, that a large percentage of campus activities are cul- timated. The judiciary Council composed of a chief and associate justices act as a judicial review on certain school code policies. However, at the sum- mit of the three levels, rides the authority of the ex ecutive post. This year's President, William Tho- mas Biggs, heads a cabinet of five members: judy Floyd, Vice-Presidentg Melody Vetter, Secretaryg Charles Casey, Treasurer, Linda Bean, Chief jus- tice, and Ricky Logue Reporter.

Homecoming Explodes With Sights, Sound As the leaves of fall blanketed the campus, Campbellsville had an outward appearance of slum- ber. However, the peaceful atmosphere belied the outburst of activity which accompanied autumn to the campus. This outburst was witnessed by all as eyes turned toward the bands as they promenade through the streets of downtown Carnpbellsville during the 1971 -72 Homecoming Parade.
