the following is a responsive enlargement of an idea presented by e. h. mason, jr. according to the preliminary statement by dr. david l. jester, academic dean of campbellsville college. so fast it's going before us. watcher's or doer's? heavier, deeper, and deeper. the walk is a run. the name and facts and images mount up. everyone his story, his autobiography. a geometric figure to point a way. enter. what will we do with it? a triangle stands alone. around its three borders, the words: scholarship fellowship leadership before us what? is it ludicrous to suppose they might be more than a meaningless symbol? to learn . . . to live . . . to love . . to lead . . . say that you will -try at least. it's long way there, but it's the falling back that gets to you, on the way, moving on. in search of a free romp in dreams and visions on some unchartered walk. to believe enough in yourself to go the distance. to have sealed on our future frame our spirit, our longings, our fate. the people, virile, yet fragile. wanting to whistle a hymn, hum a song of joy, sing a lullaby ofd. i liberation. the giant stage we stand. the world in front of how often to have sat back and . laughed, hooted, and hailed the start of the big show. gay times, hearty, robust, cheerful. we are offered the bitter-sweet taste of participation, left for us to choose. we are not down, only tired. getting closer to our home. now we lay us down to last and pray to not neglect the past but when to go, and leave a cast what place to make wenow must ask a litany ofliving loving learning leading the experience of finding how much it will finally take. so much has flown or been flittered away, overlooked, passed up. inability to make the proper judgment can cause a storm of protest, sparking new incentive. but who will strive? who will pick up the pieces' and renew himself?
