There is a time when tears blur the vision and we have a hard time seeing tomorrow or understanding today. There is a time for remembering the good times and forgetting the bad. We, the Maple Trail S taff feel that there is a time to recognize she who from our midst was taken. She was loved by all and is now dearly missed. For H.1., Tracy, and Laura, it is a time to adjust and grow. I T'WAS ON THE SEVENTEENTH T'was on the seventeenth, if I recall That the Board of Trustees had quite a ball, Motion and seconds and all that stuff That left all the student in a huff. HTis unfair,H the preacher said strongly, uTo have students represented ever so wrongly Kentucky Baptists, they ought to be, For they're the only ones who can really see. Catholics 8 Jews and Chruch of Christ Have on privilege of student rights, Just keep your place, as in days of old While we take your money, 6 your billfold. Now it's not just Baptist, as you plainly see That need to serve on the Board of Trustees, It's Kentucky Baptist all the way For they were organized in Jesus' day. Now all you Baptist from the other states We're glad to have you within our gates, as far as we're concerned, your mighty fine Just wished you'd lived across the state line Some of the members awakened with a jolt And they stood to their feet in time to vote, They rubbed their eyes, trying to find out What in the world they were voting about. HSince this is done,H the chairman said, HNow let's get on with business ahead, It's time to send for the man called 'Mouse' Since we're through discussing about Lebanon Let's go home, it's time, you see We've chased the students up a tree.H They laughed and joked rather gleefully, completely unware they had sat on a bee, BUMBLE-THAT IS. We came to climb the tree of knowledge and with it's branches we are to build our lives. But where would we be without the friendships spawned here. Campbellsville has been called the arm-pit of the world, the buckle on the Bible -belt, a co- educational nursery, and a few other choice names, but I believe those that have passed through its portals remember it fondly and dearly. 1' Soon I will walk away from the campus andfind my place in the sun. I will retreat back up north and with a heart full of fantastic memories I'll do the best I can with that which Campbellsville has given me. I would like to thank a few people who helped me so unselfishly on this annual. Without these peoples' help, the Maple Trail would not have been. 1535353535353 gg I tlzank Roger Davis for his great gg help on the cover. I thank Jinz Roller for his many if lzours ofpainstaking labor. SS I thank John Kanis for his help on rnake-up. He did the work that others should have done. gg And fnost ofall, I thank Becky S5 85 Poole. Many hours did she help ine fX 35 though others would say we were E doing otherwise. fx 25 fx as t 0 gi u I K x 4, 235353223 5353535353535353 'h' 53535353 aa as QQ 535353535353535353535353535353 J YSJ ,L - 5 J 1...
