Or perhaps it's biology . . . One may choose government, health and physical education, or mathematicsg there are others too numerous to mention. The field is wide, selection great--they are all there for everyone. Then, after the selection is made, one may find he needs guidance. Campbellsville pro- vides that, also. RECREATION It has been said that man mu st have leisureg 'tis also true of college students. At Campbellsville one may join in any of a number of intramural sports, such as soc- cer, baseball, football, and basketball. Too, the recreation room is open at spec ified hours for those who wish to relax at the pool table or a game of cards. The door to recreation opens easily for all who desire to become mentally and phys ically fit. Campbellsville has made vast achievements in expansion, The Old Stapp Hall Qgirls' dor- mitoryb was torn down, and a beautiful new Stapp was erected early last spring. In 1966, a new men's residence hall was built. Plans are now under way for the construc- tion of a new student center and gymnasiumg tentative completion date for the gym is fall of 1968. Campbellsville shows promise of making even greater marks in tangible expression. This door is a sturdy one--it WILL open. DOORWAYS. Students rush to the SUB each morning to receive an awaited letter for maybe even a check from some generous someone!Jg some engage in small talkg others retreat to that special someone. Again, one may possibly find some ambitious soul practicing something in the musical line or molding a piece of pot- tery. Others may be catching up on class notes or writing a letter to a friend or relative. At any rate, life is never really dull. To one who seeks, the door to social life truly does have MANY keys . . . Campbellsville College has opened many doorways to all, many opportunities. There have been trying times, even to the point of depression, but as months and years pass, only the good times will be remem - bered. Each person will, undoubtedly, one day think back rather nostalgically to all the old college friends, the ball games, the sneaky things with which nearly everyone got away. One may sigh, Ah, those were the good old days. Thus, as for the present, Campbellsville has done all it can do. It has offered time, talent, and energy to give ample knowledge to each. Perhaps opportuni- ties have been missedg perhaps time was spent fool- ishlyg perhaps remorse will be felt because college careers--and in a sense, freedom--have now ended. But these are irretrievable things 3 they are past, and must go down as merely one more chapter in the an- nals of humanity. But on the other hand, the picture is not dim at all. There are new doorways ever opening, new careers beginning. Many people will find that life is really just beginning to blossom. New Heights, surpassing any before known, can be reached. The golden key to Future's doorway awaits the in- evitable turning . . . I, PV? x Charles D. Aaron Sharon D. I The Campbellsville College Alumni Chapel stage was the setting for this production. :X 3 W Our coach's warm personality and sincere interest in the stu- dent body are just a few reasons why he was chosen Most Popular Professor. I . IVIOST POPULAR PRGFESSOR Mr. Lou Cunningham, basketball coach at Campbellsville College, has been chosen by the students as the college's Most Popular Professor of the year 1967-68. A native of Camargo, Montgomery County, Kentucky, Mr. Cunningham earned his B.S. degree from Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn., where he majored in Health and Physical Education and minored in Biol- ogy. His M.A. degree was awarded him at Peabody College where his area of concentration was a major in Physical Education and a minor in Education Administration. The coach played four years of varsity basketball and three years of baseball while in col- lege. In 1966, Lou Cunningham was named among the Top Ten high school basketball coaches in Kentucky. He was assistant coach and science teacher at Jackson High School in jackson, Ohio. For four years he held the position of head coach and Health and Physical teacher at Au- gusta High School, Augusta, Kentucky. Then for two years he was head coach and Physical Ed- ucation teacher at Lyon County High School. College coaching, however, had long been a desire of Mr. Cunningham's, and when the opportunity afforded itself, he graciously accepted it and came to Campbellsville College last year. Mr. Cunningham is a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and is presently teaching an Intermediate boys' Sunday School Class. Mrs. Lou Cunningham, the former Barbara Tucker, is from Paducah, Kentucky, and is also a graduate of Belmont College. The Cunningham's have two children, David, who is two and one -half years of age, and Phil, who is fourteen months of age. Mr. Cunningham has always been interested in horses. He has trained and exhibited saddle- bred and standard-bred horses in the past and presently owns a trotting mare. He has raced successfully at fairs in Kentucky and Illinois. The coach stated, when asked how he liked Campbellsville College, l enjoy teaching and coaching at Campbellsville College and I have been impressed by the friendly atmosphere on our campus. I feel that our athletic program is on the move, and I am glad to be a part of it. Of course, I always relax when I coach a game! -q-.np-p-v- '- dv, -Gs IVIR.
