He himself greatly enjoys athletics, and has coached in jack- son, Ohio, Augusta, Kentucky, and Eddyville, Kentucky in the past seven years. The coach played basketball and baseball in high school, and last attended Brewton Parker junior College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia, on a bas- ketball scholarship. Belmont College of Nashville Tennessee, then furthered his education, and his M.A. degree was awarded him by Peabody Teacher's College, also of Nashville, Tennessee. 1965 saw Lou Cunningham among the Top Ten High School Coaches in the state of Kentucky. College coaching, however, had long been his desireg thus, when the oppor- tunity to come to Campbellsville College was presented to him, he graciously ac- cepted. Our institution's future looks good, he says, if we can have a new gymnasium to help in recruiting and attracting high-caliber players from this, and surrounding areas The general concensus seems to be that with a superb coach, as Lou Cunningham is, and adequate facilities with which to work, Campbellsville College could indeed go far in the field of athletics 78 y rv Kelx nun- cdxxir. .,u, 1 Y Y ' f I fl W - .A . , ,f ', A Riu' Ir Wg!! Being an outstanding Christian leader and friend of young people, Mr. Mathieson is a wonderfully apt addition to Campbe1lsville's faculty. Too, as chairman of our Physical Education Department and director of athletics, he is vitally interested in building a strong Physical Education department, as well as a winning tradition in intercollegiate athletics. 88 ,I . 7:iH f,g-5 --Mir 5-'q1y'W'Y'l' in r -:Z1: '- N 'eg N!! Jardine, Minister of Music SPI ES CRAFL ED Let A Steeple Guide People To Your Church Campbellsville Industries, a division of Campbells- ville College, started out nine years ago to provide jobs for students needing financial help to go to college. The venture was so successful that it is now a full-fledged industry with a staff' of skilled men, draftsmen and engineers under whom our stu dents have the privilege of working. As with our bulletin boards, we believe in giving quality at a reasonable price because we believe the church with the small budget needs serving as well as the large, and our constant backlog of orders proves us right. Our welded structural aluminum steeples, covered with prefinished aluminum of any color, means we can give you the detail in design that would suit your church the best.
