Campbellsville Industries Expands Swiftly The college industry has found a new and profitable line of work in building church steeples. The purpose of a church steeple is twofold, according to manager Herb Keeton: it is to point men to God and to serve as a functional locator so that all may see it and be invited to attend the worship of God. Campbellsville steeples are all aluminum. The strong welded and rivited structure is covered with prefinished aluminum plate in whatever color is chosen. It is the intention of Mr. Keeton to restrict the con- struction to small steeples, less than 50 feet in height. The steeple .in these pictures, for the South Campbells- ville Baptist Church, is 40 feet high and 8 feet wide at the base. Final Exam Week Taxes Intellect WR X .L ADMINISTRA TION Mr Marshall Black Business Manager llflessage from the President Although apparently inevitable today, the present rush toward discarding long accepted values and foundations could be disastrous for tomorrow. Nor is it feasible to expect tomorrow to be served by an unchallenged acceptance of that which stood so firmly yesterday. Campbellsville College today must help construct foundations that will be adequate for the opportunities and yet be able to withstand the dangers of tomorrow. With prayer and caution we must approach our work- with prayer that we may be ready always to accept the best and with caution lest we build on untried foundations. John M. Your College Church is pleased to have its lovely sanctuary used for the Chapel Services this year. 57,9 If 'Q I 5 J. Chester Badge-tt, -Pastor J. P. Jardine, Minister of Music SPIRES CRAFJ' ED Let A Steeple Guide People To Your Church Campbellsville lndustries. a division of Campbells- ville College, started out nine years ago to provide jobs for students needing financial help to go to college. The venture was so successful that it is now a full-fledged industry with a staff of skilled men, draftsmen and engineers under whom our stu dents have the privilege of working. As with our bulletin boards, we believe in giving quality at a reasonable price because we believe the church with the small budget needs serving as well as the large, and our constant backlog of orders proves us right. Our welded structural aluminum steeples, covered with prefinished aluminum of any color, means we can give you the detail in design that would suit your church the best.
