kr 5? SOPHOMORE C LASS HISTORY In the course of life's journey 147 freshmen came to a screeching halt at the entrance of Campbellsville 9 Q -Q., YJ' 1 'X 5 ' , .MA ,.,,., . ,, 'Ni 1' fx a M--1 s vi TP N 'v 1 X College on September 12, 1951. All agog and starry eyed with the hustle of college life we embarked on a new adventure. We felt about as big as a pin point as the sopho- mores looked strangely at this one and whispered about another. After going through a hectic week we were in- itiated. Dressed in hilarious garbs we wondered if we could make it. We elected our class officers and Mr. D. P. Curry became our faculty sponser. Cf course the first year had its ups and downs, but we grew to love the college, faculty, and our friends. Sooner than it seemed June called around. Now we were the upper classmen. After the ever so long summer the day came when the school opened its doors to us once again. How good it was to see our classmates again. Suddenly it dawned on us that the sophomores from last year were gone. How we missed them. But now we took their place, and we became the ones who looked and wondered at the new group of freshmen. Of course we put them through the torments of freshmen week. Many became homesick and we looked back and lau hed because we had done the same. Again we electeg class officers. Miss Gloria Febro became our faculty adviser. The draught of the summer had caused a terrific water shortage so we were confronted with that. Again the mad rush of cramming for exams, running here and there, the challenge of getting a straight schedule kept us busy for another year. Soon came our day of departure, graduation! Oh, how proud we were as graduation caps sat snugly on our swelled heads. Yes, we had made the grade. It was a wonderful two years. We were a little hesitant, however, as we realized that many of us would not meet again. Because we are maturing young people we real- ized, too, that this is a part of ife. As we travel through life the past only becomes pleasant memories. We the raduates of 1 53 want to thank Mr Curr . g 9 . . Y, Miss Febro, and the faculty for their uidance and making Campbellsville College an unforgettab e place. Wally Badgett Sim- A?9P5S,3 rl! is 'A .,,,, .V I A as . 'X :Biz .N ,, 'QU ff -' gif ii
