Sunshine ond worm temperatures echoed the sentiments that springtime hod finally orrived in Buies Creek. This year springtime brought about many changes ot Campbell A chonge In attitude become opporent as the dreomy restlessness, spring fever, swept across campus. Spring fever was an epidemic which brought about the desire to put the books on the shelf ond go outside ro enjoy the sun. Lying in the sun was considered the best woy to take a study break. Campus life wos flovored by various activities such as the Billy Ocean Con- cert, Beoch Weekend, and the Little 500. The highlights of springtime oc- tivities were the Honor Boll ond the crowning of the Spring Festival Queen. Some of the chonges on compus were not so festive. Students really hored to see Dr. Puryeor who wos a greor asset to the government deport- ment leove Campbell. Even though students were sod obour Dr. Puryeor ' s deportute, they were anticipating the orrivol of Dr. Funderburk who would reploce Dr. Puryeor as chairman of the Deportment of Sociol Studies. Students were excited when construc- tion begon on the new laundry. After the loss of the loundry lost foil, students really missed not hoving o laundry on campus. Spring brought about many chonges in student ' s lives. For seniors, it meont the ending of college life ond the begin- ning of new one outside Duies Creek.
