CAMBELLITES Letters that we wrote to Mama and Daddy about our very demanding professors contained hints of homesickness. But smiling faces and kind words eased the tension caused by our new environment and erased the doubt that perhaps Campbell University wasn ' t the place to be and to become. We learned a painful lesson: In this world, no one can stand alone. And we yearned for a sense of belonging; together, we found it. And the EXPRESSIONS kept coming .... 1. It was a brilliant August day when we cruised into the city limits of Buies Creek. North Carolina. Was it by chance that we were drawn to Campbell University? No. not at all! Each of us had our own reasons for selecting Campbell. Some of us were anxious to discover what university life held; others cared only to immediately hit the books.
