Dedication Mr.T. Harold Fnlwi ' ll, |r Of the acting chairman of the Department of Business Administration one overhears students say: There should be more teachers like Mr. Folwell. Students mean by this statement that Mr. Folwell gets the job done competently; that he is energetic and efficient; that he is triendly and fair- minded; that he speaks quietly but with confidence; that his merry brown eyes betray a quick and ready wit; that he likes what he does, and what he does includes much more than college teaching and administrative duties. Living with his wife and young daughter on a well-kept rural acreage near Buies Creek in a comfortable spacious home, Mr. Folwell is proud of his farm. He goes about chores with the same zest that characterizes all that he does, and he shares generously with others the abundance that his energy produces. Students are not alone in recognizing this versatile, young professor ' s merits. At twenty-five he received the 1961 Wall Street Journal Student Acievement Award for Excellence in Economics and Business Administration. He was included in Outstanding Young Men of America in 1969. He was cited in 1970 when he was selected as one of the first to receive the Excellence in Teaching Award granted annually by Campbell under funds provided by the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. He has figured importantly in faculty committees such as the committee for developing the bylaws for the faculty senate, the steering committee in connection with earning regional accreditation for Campbell as a senior college, and the executive committee. Mr. Folwell continues to merit the recognition he receives. In 1971 he accepted in addition to his other responsibilities the duties of acting chairman of the Department of Business Administration. He has since that time directed with the cooperation of loyal students and alumni the raising of money for the establishment of the James Faison Memorial Scholarship in honor of the late chairman. He has been actively associated with the Southeastern Trust School held for the past four years on the campus by the North Carolina BankersAssociation. To express their conviction that Campbell College students are wiser and better for having known this man as a teacher and a friend, the Staff gratefully dedicates the 1974 Pine Burr to Mr. T.
