Our first days at Campbell College were marked by mixed emotions. We were confused as to what was expected of us as college students. We were young and ambitious but still very unsure of our- selves. We soon found our places, and we realized that the sound of the Scottish wind was that of a friend.

When we first entered Campbell College we east our fate into the Scot- tish wind that surrounds Campbell. We were young, anxious, and confused as to what was expected of us. It was not long until we became not only a part of our school, but we, as students, were Campbell College. We watched Campbell grow and thrive. Even though Campbell ' s roots are based deeply in tradition, her branches reach out toward the future. This year was a year marked by change. There were new rules passed, giving us more freedom and responsibility, and, even more important, there were new professors and students with young and fresh ideas, each wanting to give of his best. We have many wonderful memories of this year. We came to Campbell to prepare ourselves to face the future and to make our dreams realities. Every class we attended helped to prepare us for the future. We came to continue our mental and physical growth. To continue these processes we were required to take certain courses, attend classes, lectures, and meet- ings, but there were also soccer games, picnics, pop concerts, basketball games, and Harvest and Spring Festival festivities that entertained us. At the end of this year, whether it was our first or last year, we remem- ber all the time we have spent at Campbell. There were good times, bad times, times for tears, and times for cheers. We remember the time we spent together in chapel, in our dorms, in class, in the .cafeteria, and in all the places we gathered on campus. We have worked, studied, played, and prayed together. In the final hours of this year 1968-1969, as we look back and reminisce, we should remember that we are to dream of tomorrow with hope, yet not forget that yesterday helped to mold what we are today.

Young Ideas After registration and orientation, we settled down to our classes and the many activities that are involved in college life. Each activity that we at- tended or participated in brought us much closer to the Campbell College family. In each activity it became our goal to do our best, whether we suc- ceeded or failed, and to bring honor and esteem to Campbell College.
