W.$J$ % $ From chapel we received inspiration and time for relaxation. Under the leadership of Dr. Newton the chapel programs ranged from wrestling exhibitions to a very inspirational concert by the Touring Choir. .JL This was a year marked by student enthusiasm and team support. The stands at Taylor Field and Carter Gymnasium were filled every time we had an athletic event. The victory cannon sounded many times as our opposing teams went down in defeat. School spirit was very high in 1968-1969 as we watched our teams perform.

Our social lives are an important part of our edu- cation. It is through our social experiences that we learn to be true human beings. We learn how to work with others and how to cope with different and varied personalities and, above all, we learn toler- ance. As members of society we have to associate with others for we need the fellowship and love of others if we are to survive.
