Band One of the most spirited organizations in any college community is its band. Stu- dents come together in an attitude of seriousness to recreate the musical masterpieces of the past ages — masterpieces which have reverberated over many college campuses in many sections of the world. However, the atmosphere of rehearsal is not always serious. There are many happy moments mingled among the more serious ones.

The highlights of the semesters came witii the Christmas Concert in the fall and Con- cert Under the Stars in the spring. Social Christmas Activities The spirit of Christmas began earlier for us than it did for those outside of the college community, because our Christmas holidays began December 18. A great part of the Christmas Spirit is always the gayly lighted Christmas trees . . . and this seemed to be no exception on our campus. The parlors in the womens ' dorms and trees on the outside on mens ' campus proved to he a gay reminder of the ap- proaching season. What a Chiistnias Party! '
