THE TAMING OF THE SHREW Reminiscent of past performances at Campbell College the National Players delighted the students with their performance of Shakespeare ' s The Taming of the Shrew. This hilarious play demonstrated to all Campbell students one art of training a wife. The performance was excel- lent and it is certain that it was en- joyed most of all by the male students. SERIES ALABAMA STRING QUARTET Hailed by many as the foremost string quartet in America, this group demonstrated why it has been so called. It provided the intellectual and cultural element of Campbell College with one of the most enjoy- able evenings of the college year. 11

Social ROBERT MACDONALD. PIANIST On January 14, the students of Campbell were privileged to hear world-famous pianist Robert Mac- Donald. Mr. MacDonald played many well-known pieces. He demon- strated why Musical America deems him incapable of an ugly sound. CONCERT BAILES ESPANOLES One of the most exciting groups to appear on the campus of Campbell College was Jose Molina and his Span- ish Dancers. This colorful troupe entertained the students with many variations of the exciting Flamenco dances. These brilliant dances, inter- mingled with many folk and gypsy dances of the Spanish people, pro- vided a most enjoyable evening for Campbell College.

The highlights of the semesters came witii the Christmas Concert in the fall and Con- cert Under the Stars in the spring.
