In later years as you turn these pages, you will remember the experiences you had here. The pictures and the pages of this book added together mirror a year of your life- time and record for you events and people that have done much to make you what you are. Yes. here is your college. This is where you met and made new friends. This is where you studied. This is where you thought and prayed and reached for higher, clearer under- standing both of man and God. Professor Ernest Marshall Walker ecilcatian A college is the lengthened shadow of many individuals who work apart, and yet. together. Each passing year rounds out the impact of their influence. Some are more able, others are more willing, and still others are more durable. Professor Ernest Marshall U alker has demonstrated the knack of organizing his life for a maximum contribution. As a teacher of biology, he has stimulated en- thusiasm for his subject. As an ordained minister, he has helped in the work of many churches and shared the benefits of his experience with younger brothers on the campus. As a competent businessman, he has demonstrated sound practices and good judgment. As a person, he has accumulated a host of friends. In recognition of his cheerful outlook and well-rounded life, his gift of com- munication, his interest in students and their activities, we, the PINE BURR staff, lake pleasure in dedicating our 1959 effort to our friend and advisor, the Reverend E. M. Walker.
