Chosen by and representing the Baptist State Conven- tion, Campbell ' s Board owns title to the properties of the college, adopts all operating budgets, passes upon faculty nominations, decides upon future-planning programs and policies, ahd reviews current adminis- trative procedures. Much credit for the spectacular growth in enrollment of 85 per cent in three years and the correspondingly rapid expansion of plant facili- ties is due to the progressive co-operative leadership of Campbells Board during the last few years. Credit for tlie over-subscription by more than $50,000 of the $250,000 goal for plant expansion during the fall of 1956 should go in large measure to tlie generous pledges and active campaigning of the Trustees.
