Master of Ceremony honors were shared by Reginald Quiocho and Richard Moore. Under the direction of Mr. David Theme and Miss 10 Ann Knox, fifty Campbellites danced, sang, and played their way a'cross the stage in front of a stand- ing-room only audience. Debate An opponent receives the critical attention of Campbell's first team. Under the supervision of Miss Knox, the newly formed Debate Team participated in tournaments, scrimmages, and the State Championships. Blue ribbons were awarded to Marianne Egeland and Lucile Nakamura for their performance in their first formal debate at the Kamehameha School for Boys in November. Julie Mondor sets the aggres- sive tone of an interesting debate. Student Court The first session of the Student Court of James Campbell High School was called to order by Chief Justice Lucile Nakamura on February 2, 1965. With the assistance of Associate Justices Thomas Ishimitsu and Paul Ishimitsu representing the Junior Class, and Julia Seeley and David Hargis representing the Senior Class, the court set out to enforce the student conduct code. Arthur Wong faces the stern matron of justice. I47 J unior-Senior Prom Eighty couples attended the second annual Junior- Senior Prom on March 6, 1965. Under the direction of their advisers, Mrs. Janet Ogawa and Miss Loretta Lee, the Ala Moana Banquet Hall was beautifully decorated by a committee of hard-work- ing Juniors. The council worked to establish a rich and meaningful schedule. A get-acquainted canteen was held for all seniors. Their first money-making project, the Senior Bake Sale, was held in November. This proved to be a success and re- ceived the full support of the class. In January, the Senior Class held a luau at the Queen's Surf. The Com- mencement Ball in June was a glittering formal affair-- a stylish end to a memorable year. Formal graduation exercises were planned and exe- cuted under the direction of the Council and brought the high school careers of Campbell's 222 seniors to an official close. In only our second year of production, the staff has produced a volume that everyone at Campbell may be proud of. This publication is the result of extensive cooperation between students, faculty, and administration. However, special recognition must be given to the editors and editor-in-chief whose extra efforts in- sured the success of this year's publication. There were an endless number of jobs and headaches before the product was ready for publication, and only the unfailing efforts of a dedicated staff have made this volume possible.
