MEMORIAM JAMES CAMPBELL The Saber Staff dedicates this, Campbell High's first yearbook in memory of James Campbell. t It is not very often that the students ofa new school are privileged to have such an incentive as th e life ofLMr. Campbell to lead them forth to bring honor, fame, and glory to their school. We are indeed proud and honored that our school bears the name of this great man. E PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE This yearbook, The Saber, represents another precedent establishing a first for James Campbell High 85 Intermediate School. This yearbook is the first to be produced by the stu- dents of the school. It represents the cumulative efforts and planning of the ha rd working students and their hard wo rk ing advisor, Miss Loretta Lee. They are to be congratulated and comm ende d for a job well done. They undertook a tremendous task, and lam sure, that the educational experiences gained have been worth every frustration and setback en- countered. Such undertakings a re most important in the total school program for this very reason. It is the objective ofany schoolprogram to extend to the students the kinds ofexpe- riences that will, in the end, enable the students to grow and better themselves-intellectu- ally and socially. It is my sincere hope that this yearbook, The Saber, will serve as a symbol, bring fond memories of days gone by and ensure the loyalty for your Alma Mater, James Campbell High 8c Int. School. Student Council Every school needs strong and capable leadership to guide and direct the Student Government's activities. Our officers have continually set good examples for us to fol- low. Besides the officers, the Council is composed of the homeroom representatives and ten committee chairmen. The students coordinate the functions of the government by maintaining standing committees. These committees are responsible for scholastic, so- cial, and athletic activities. Our faithful advisor has guided us invaluably throughout the entire year.
