Dating an upperclassman carries with it the pres- tige of simply being seen with an upperclassman. Sheri Drake is an example as she is escourted to class by her sweetheart Mark Brooks. l can't get a date with anybody be- cause all the girls like upperclassmen, exclaimed Rance Rowell. Most fresh- man boys experienced this problem upon entering high school. However, some freshmen found their way around this dilemma by going out with eighth grade girls.
