I , s 1 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE As you look through the pages of this memory book, I am sure you will be im- pressed with the growth of our school. This year, we have one hundred ninety-four seniors, two hundred thirty-five juniors, two hundred seventy-four sophomores, and three hundred seventy-six freshmen. Each year, the incoming freshman class will be- come larger. Our building program to take care of this increased growth is under way. Un- less it is stopped by the war effort, we will have a school plant large enough to take care of our increased school population for the next four years. A school of growing population has many problems other than housing. Ex- pansion of all school facilities-clubs, musical organizations, athletic teams and class events-was planned under student leadership. New courses were added to the curriculum. All of this is reflected in these pages. The editors and staff deserve praise for the publication of this beautiful book. It is with regret that We say good-by to the Seniors. The events depicted here show your outstanding ability. I am sure you will be as successful in the future as you have been at Campbell Union High School. Good luck to all! So We, the Senior Class of l95l, felt it only proper to dedicate this annual to the one man who has tried in his past years at Campbell to bring us the best equipment and education to be had. He has given untiringly of his time and efforts. When a need for new buildings and equipment came up he was the spark plug to get the bond issue passed.
