60601 Here again I that glorious history cf the ss mor class Glorious yes because to us there has never been a swer ter more glorious history than ours the gradual mg class of 1951 If all you seniors wlll FCIHIIIIQLC wlth us for 1 few minutes perhaps you will recall the things we do about high school It was September 1952 It was the flrt day of school 'ind we had just forced ourselves up the front steps of the building As many' of us were entering for the first time we were astounded by the lon halls which looked at least 2 mile long' This was the crew that would someday become seniors Although there were tunes when much doubt was aroused as to whether that day would ever be lFor example do you remember how easy lt walked into the wrong class at good laugh you crawled out 1 Well we dnl survlye and in our own units now and were classmen began speaking to us would haye been for you to quit school when you the wrong time 'md after eymry 1 had enjoyed 1 1953 we wz re real hlghschoolers We werf earning no longer considered untouehables because upper We were in a position then to enjoy makmv fun of that years sub freshmen with the same glee that the freshmen had made fun of us the year before We were able to take part ln B team games and a few of the less exclusive club actlvltles Finally lt was 1914 and we were sophomores Oh' what an agony of antlclpatlon ran through our middle of the road minds The next year we would be juniors' That seemingly unattainable goal was just around the corner This was the year of decision for many qome decided to join forces with the DE class which would with lc ncle qam 1905 and Juniors at la tlll This was the year when we held our heads high and secretly grinned at the envious faces of the underclassmen We were honored fnough to haye '1 class election and that III itself meant that we were becoming prlylleged characters The officers were President Jimmy Bomar Vice President lNeena Hudson, Secretary Carolyn Jenkins Treasurer Anlta Green Business Manager Betty Jeanes Qcrgeant at Arms Farl Eldson Selling magazines was a lot of work but lt surely was a lot of fun dont you agree? The result of our hard work was a beautiful different marvelous Junior QCIIIOI' Prom To us it was just perfect Then to hlghllght the year we ordered and received our class rlngs Now Senlorslll Our final goal our llltlfllale desire our fondest dream IS a reality Contrary to the other years which seemed to creep along this year sped along with the speed of Elyls Presley s popularlty Soon after we got IH the swing of being Senlors, we elected our class officers They are President Larry Cunnmg ham, Vice President Ed Wllbanks, Secretary Gloria Hudgens Treasurer Ronald Turner Business Manager Helen Wxlllfrmrd Sergeant at Arms Cary Coursey and Rept Qhlrley Cranford It is really too bad that every year cant be like the senlor year but then if t were there would be nothlng to look forward to ln being a sc mor Thi IQ the happiest, fullest most well deseryed year ln a teenageris llff? Nei ll mat well be the saddest How often do you think of our past days together9 If you had your times to llye over would you change them?
