Abe Lincoln stopped the slavery It must have taken a lot of bravery And what a man could, with some debates: Work to stop separation of the States. DANA EKLUND - 8th A Fight for Independence America would not be what it 'is today, If we didn't listen to what people had to say: All together we fought with pride , And this plentiful land grew far and wide. Brothers we were hand and hand, As we fought for our national land: Brave and bold our men did fight, Till there was not one British left in sight. So at last we were proud to win our victory . And prayed for the soldiers who died for our countryg And over the battlefields there was a silent cry , Except for a little bird who sung independence for America that never did die . This little place if you haven't already guessed , Is the General Store where you could find the very best. KAREN ANGONA - 8T.h
