The Valkyries The Valkyries is an honor society in which Kir ' s with good citizenship and scholastic grades participate. This year the Valkyries did many different things, from sucker sales to a car wash. They went caroling to various convalescent homes during the Christmas holidays. The car wash helped to finance the Coronation Ball, which you all know was a success! Every year the Valkyries along with the Vikings go to Disneyland, which is always such a lot of fun. They donated one-hundred dollars to St. Mary ' s Episcopal Retreat House. We also gave Dr. Campbell a fund for his long awaited St. Andrew ' s Chapel. We would like to express our deep- est gratitude to our advisor, Mrs. Marguerite McConnell, for her never- ending enthusiasm and her dedica- tion. We also wish to thank Mr. and Mrs. Leach, Mr. and Mrs. Lydon, Mr. Johnson, and Mrs. Zeavin for their help at the Coronation Ball. All in all we would say we had a most memo- rable year! — Maureen McNulty and Mary McConnell I H i VALKYRIES — 1st row, left to right: Kathy Andrews, Julie Lydon, Debbie Lew, Ann Reynolds, Pamela Scott, Bubs Hopper, Kathleen McNulty, Bonnie Sheren. 2nd row, left to right: Jackie Wills, Denise Simon, Dana Kappler, Cinger Keltz, Kathy Schmidt, Patrice McCord, Janet Goldstein, Tracy Wachsner, Alycia Rogers, Becky Jones, Julie Smith, Gail Reisman, Yolanda Alvarez. CAMPUS SERVICE CLUB A new organization was formed this year that consists exclusively of Eighth graders. They are literally a service club. Among other things they help keep the campus clean and encourage courteous behaviour in all students. They each take a few ele- mentary students for a visit to Junior High classes .so that the elementary school can see what their junior high is like. They are always available for help on special occa- sions. A very special Saturday is planned for them at the end of each year. CAMPUS SERVICE CLUB - Left to Hight: Robin Ropp, Jeannie Black, Ginger Keltz, Mary McConnell, Yolanda Alvarez, Kim Cameron Julie Lydon, Kevin Hausner, Denise Simon, Kelly Brown, Jackie Wills and Melinda Findell. The club is partly for fun and partly for .service.
