THE PARENT-TEACHERS ' COUNCIL One of our most appreciated and helpful organizations is our wonderful Parent-Teachers ' Council. Their interest in the schools ' needs has always been followed by gifts of special equipment that enrich the life of all the children. This year one of the most treasured gifts was a Bell and Howell, 16mm projector with sound equipment. They are also completing the costly sprinkling system, started last year, in the center of our track and field. We would like to thank Mrs. Donald Daves, chairman of the room mothers, for all that she did to help us throughout the year. A special thanks is given to Mrs. Michael Lacey, for her devoted care of the birthday book program. We wish to thank all of the members of our Parent-Teach- ers ' Council for helping to make this one of our most produc- tive years. MRS. DONALD DAVES, Chairman of Room Mothers THE REV. ALEXANDER K. A Garden of Fantasy bloomed in the Empire Room of the Sportsmen ' s Lodge for the fourteenth annual fund-raising dinner dance. The generosity of all the enter- tainers was heartwarming. There was Steve Allen with his always kindly wit; the lovely Jayne Meadows, his wife; Martin Mil- ner; Hans Conried; The Moth- ers, Plus One (The Plus One was Wally Green who did the choreography for their dance); The Near Mrs. , directed by Rica Owen Moore and accom- panied by Morty Corb; and the traditional and beloved Dixie- land Dads accompanied this time by Steve Allen .
