; je£x. The Harvest Welcome of Octo- ber 7th helped start off the year with a bang! The dance was spon- sored by the eighth grades with the kind help of Miss Gillis, Mr. Memminger, and Mrs. Knudtson, and was a great success. The Homecoming Dance of No- vember 11th, sponsored by the Ninth graders, was the second dance of the year. This was a very special dance for Randy Bruskrud, who was crowned the Homecoming Queen. Mrs. Senter was responsible for the fun we all enjoyed. The Americana was sponsored by the Seventh Graders on February 12th. This dance was lots of fun and a great success too, thanks to Mrs. Knudt- son and Mr. Wrightsman. The Aloha is our last dance of the year, sponsored the Valkyries and the Vikings. Eveiyone wears Hawaiian clothes to match the theme. Again our gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Senter and Mr. Wrightsman! Also we thank all those wonderful, wonderful parents who gave of their time to act as chaperones, that we might enjoy ourselves. 103

STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council, by its quiet but pervasive influence, has gained the respect of the junior high school. Mrs. Knudtson, faculty sponsor of the Council, is always present for her kind guidance. Her deep interest in student welfare communicates itself to the members of the Council, for which we are very grateful.
