Their interest in the schools ' needs has always been followed by gifts of special equipment that enrich the life of all the children. This year one of the most treasured gifts was a Bell and Howell, 16mm projector with sound equipment. They are also completing the costly sprinkling system, started last year, in the center of our track and field. We would like to thank Mrs. Donald Daves, chairman of the room mothers, for all that she did to help us throughout the year. A special thanks is given to Mrs. Michael Lacey, for her devoted care of the birthday book program. We wish to thank all of the members of our Parent-Teach- ers ' Council for helping to make this one of our most produc- tive years. MRS. DONALD DAVES, Chairman of Room Mothers THE REV. ALEXANDER K. The success of the parade, crowning of the queen, football game, and a chance to visit with fonner stu- dents, was overwhelming. Our first Homecoming Queen was Randy Bruskrud, a loN ' ely graduating ninth grader. An- other most interesting and attention drawing person was Rick Mays dressed authentically as a Viking. Even though our football team did not win its game, its enthusiasm and good sportsman- ship, always in evidence, left ever one with the hope of making this an annual tradition. Melissa Wharton was the lucky one to be chosen by the eighth and ninth graders to be the Snow Queen for this year. Crowned by last year ' s beloved and beautiful queen, Patricia Clarke, Melissa was exquisite, robed in crimson velvet trimmed with ermine and proudly wearing the lovely jeweled crown. The decorations for this dance were extreme- ly beautiful. We icish to thank Mr. John Senter for making this dance possible and so outstand- ing. Also we are very grateful for Mrs. Senter ' s assistance. Without her it woidd be impossible to have such a wonder- ful dance. Two velvet clad, hand- some, plumed pages, David Eagle and Billy Wilson, carried Melissa ' s train as she left the throne. The dance was spon- sored by the eighth grades with the kind help of Miss Gillis, Mr. Memminger, and Mrs. Knudtson, and was a great success. The Homecoming Dance of No- vember 11th, sponsored by the Ninth graders, was the second dance of the year. This was a very special dance for Randy Bruskrud, who was crowned the Homecoming Queen. Mrs. Senter was responsible for the fun we all enjoyed. The Americana was sponsored by the Seventh Graders on February 12th. This dance was lots of fun and a great success too, thanks to Mrs. Knudt- son and Mr. Wrightsman. The Aloha is our last dance of the year, sponsored the Valkyries and the Vikings. Eveiyone wears Hawaiian clothes to match the theme. Again our gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Senter and Mr. Wrightsman! Also we thank all those wonderful, wonderful parents who gave of their time to act as chaperones, that we might enjoy ourselves. 103 STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council, by its quiet but pervasive influence, has gained the respect of the junior high school. Mrs. Knudtson, faculty sponsor of the Council, is always present for her kind guidance. Her deep interest in student welfare communicates itself to the members of the Council, for which we are very grateful. GIRLS ' CHORUS Our appreciation of choral music is enriched each year by Mr. Wayne Boys and his splen- did chorus. Thank you for your devotion to quality in each per- fonnance given. We couldn ' t ask for a better example for a mascot, than Baron who is strong, and shows his strength by obedience. RUSSELL WELLS AND BARON ' BOYS ' SPORTS For the second straight year, Campbell Halls ' Varsity football and basketball teams completed vic- torious seasons. Campbell Halls ' Junior Varsity basketball team in their first year in the league lost the Championship by one game. Our track teams, boys and girls, set many new records at the league track meet. As the Viking goes to press Campbell Hall ' s Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball teams anticipate winning seasons.
