S. band, under the direction of C. R. Waterman, furnishes entertainment between halves of athletic events, besides sponsoring both a Spring and a' F all Concert. Members of the band with three semesters of active service receive a letter. Those qualifying are chosen by the band committee, a newly organized group consisting of section leaders. Buffalo is host town for the district music festival this year. ln this festival, bands contest for ratings of l, II, and Ill. They are rated on their accomplish- ments according to the number of years they have worked together as an organization. -54F-
