JlLl.. AT SEA Aboard the good ship Pinafore we sailed the ocean blue, With a very assorted passenger list, and a very familiar crew, And to capture the Pirates of Penzance was all we had to do! In all of Gilbert and Sullivan land whatever name you'd choose You may be sure they were sailing along on this sing -ular melody cruise And a bolder looking party never trembled so much in its shoes. Patience and Grosvenor, Strephon and Phyllis, all of them meeting by chance, Josephine, Ralph, and Mabel and Frederick, casting amorous glance. ' Ahoy! we're off with the Pinafore and a cargo of scattered romance! Of course there were Rondack middies, looking nautical, neat and natty, And Sir Joseph Porter, first Lord of the Water, acting in manner high hatty, And too many to mention, a female convention of sisters and cousins quite catty. And the arm of the law! fwho could ever ask more in the matter of ample protection?j Policeman with dash-and amazing moustache!-who, not very bright at detection, Permitted the pirates to capture the ship in a manner approaching perfection! Then in style sentimental and quite Oriental the dapper Mikado appears With Pooh-Bah, who functions in various junctions, and three maids of tender years, With Ko-Ko, who cuts only capers but threatens to cut up piratical ears! All at Sea! In the hands of pirates, in a very perplexed situation! Ha, the fairy Queen still, with her old-fashioned skill, alters the captors' station From pirate to poet! Honor is saved for Rondack and British nation!
