FORIIIATIOHS RON FORMATION Oh, we'll give a cheer for the excellent formation of the Ron Team. Resplendent in green and white, they began their exciting series of patterns with a great W across the entire pageant grounds. Quickly and easily they then formed one straight line, which marched down perfectly from the head of the field. The effect was amazing indeed. From this Hgure they worked into the high spot of the Ron Formation, an intricate needle work design, in which the inner girls gave the illusion of tapestry, while the frame marched around it, setting it off. Topping this spectacular step, they next formed another per- fect line which bent itself into three pivots and three solid squares. At this point the beautiful Lantern mascot was brought upon the scene, with little Barbara Blickman, her yellow costume gleaming in the sun, as the Goddess of Light. Courting the good graces of victory, the Rons paid tribute to their mascot with the song Goddess of Shining Light, and marched tri- umphantly to their places. DACK FORMATION Fight Dacksl Fight Dacks! Fight Dacks. for Victory! With these words, in a spirited military manner, the Dack Team appeared upon the pageant grounds. Entering from four points, they immediately formed a perfect com- pact pivot which resolved itself into two double lines. ln very effective march formation, keeping time to the rhythmic staccato of their song, the Dacks then strode confidently through the green Arch of Victory which they had placed at the head of the field. H Meeting again in a cross line pivot, the Dacks then executed the most bril- liant step in their routine. This interlocking pivot was especially dramatic in the various green and white effects it produced. With the singing of the Torch Song the team then welcomed Syrille Litt, who represented the flame of the torch that would light the path of victory for the Dacks, They then 'lunfurled the Dack Team banner and marched to the basketball court for the opening gun of Varsity Week, 1935.
