FRI-XNKIE'S MESSAGE Words are sometimes futile, and true feeling often sounds foolishly sentimental. lt would be hard to thank Carol adequately, therefore as simply as possible I Want to express my appreciation for the work she did, It has been more of a pleasure than a duty to work against the spirited Dack Team and its able leaders, Jeanne and Harriette. As for the Rons, this thought remains with me. Always, the entire summer depends not on the team's athletic ability, but on its cooperation. It is enough to say that through many defeats, days of rain, long hours of sing and formation practice, the Ron Team maintained an attitude of helpfulness and patience. This, to me, is worthy of the highest praise, and for this reason the memories of the summer of 1935 are pleas- ant ones. lEANNE'S MESSAGE 1-9-3-5 at Camp Rondack, no other year the same. The spirit is typically Rondackian, but for the first time I was really able to understand how splendidly our campers act and react to both winning and losing. To the Dacks-my compliments on the admirable spirit you displayed this summer. Such sportsmanship is more than a quality, it's a permanent asset. Nothing would give both Harriette and me greater pleasure than to feel that in somesmall way we helped to make your summer a happier and fuller one. That's but half the story, for the essential of all good drama is conflict -in this case, the splendid op- position of the Rons. To the Ron Team girls to you we're singing, singing with all our hearts, because of the line Way in which you carried out the ideals and high standards of competition inspired by your leaders, Frankie and Kay. W It's hardly necessary to tell Harriette how much she meant to the Dacks and to me, or to enumerate the many ways in which she served the team. For her tire- less energy, her cheerful cooperation and her invaluable ideas, our heartfelt thanks. Rons and Dacks, it was a privilege to Work and play with you.
